Here at Nexa we are conscious of two things when it comes to international property:
- It’s far easier to purchase international property that it is to sell it. This is especially the case in counties like Nicaragua where there is no MLS, the real estate market is relatively immature and the concept of a “listing agent’ is different to what sellers are used to in the US.
- For lifestyle investors who are purchasing international property to relocate to, the transition doesn’t always come without challenges. ‘Culture shock’ is real.
But the objective of this website is not just to talk about problems, we also want to provide solutions.
Our solutions come in two forms:
- Helping international property owners who wish to sell their property with their marketing. The key here is to understand how the market operates on the ground, how real estate agents are motivated, how listings are marketed so that you can sell your property more quickly (and perhaps even for more money). We start with real estate in Nicaragua and will cover other Central American counties in time.
- Helping people relocating to Central America with advice, support and assistance.
These two service areas may seem contradictory to some people. After all why would you want to sell your international property if you are planning to move to the country where you have purchased full time? Agreed, to some extent we are catering to two separate gropes, each with a different need. But there is also a degree of overlap:
Even if you are moving to Nicaragua for example, you’ll may still want to know that you can sell your property some day – right?
Also many investors have bought multiple properties abroad. Now they cant live in all of them…
Finally we also think our advice is pertinent to buyers of real estate, especially speculators who are purchasing with a goal to sell in the future.
We are still in the design stage of providing these services. But rest assured that we are working hard behind the scenes.
